Dormitory Bed Specifications

Dormitory bed specifications are typically determined by the intended users and the available space. Common single beds range from 190 to 200 cm in length and 80 to 100 cm in width, meeting the basic needs of most students and residents. These dimensions ensure comfortable sleeping space while facilitating a uniform and tidy layout within the dormitory.

Regarding height, designs must balance ease of use with safety. Single-level beds usually have a sleeping surface height of 35 to 45 cm, making it convenient to get in and out of bed and handle daily tidying. Bunk beds require more careful height planning; the top bunk needs sufficient clearance from the ceiling to avoid a cramped feeling, while the lower bunk requires enough space for comfortable movement.

There are also specific requirements for load-bearing capacity and materials. Generally, each sleeping berth-whether on a single bed or a bunk bed-supports a load of 150 to 200 kg. Bed frames typically utilize steel tubing to ensure overall stability. Bed bases often consist of wooden slats or metal support structures to distribute weight and extend the bed's lifespan; these specifications collectively ensure the safety and durability of the beds during long-term use.
